Has Everyone Reading This At Some Point Had One of These in Their Mouths?

I'll go first. It took a while to trust that it wouldn't spring back open. It didn't hurt although the inside of my top lip felt a little grazed. I was surprised by the drool. It was probably my first experience of make-up, mask or costume of any kind.
I bought a set from Petits Joke shop in 1973. Like you, the salivation was increased mixed with fresh blood from the cut to my gums they caused. Almost looked vampire like
Peter, are you positive that wasn't a dream? (I don't know what it means if one dreams about white plastic fangs, but it should definitely mean something.)
I would say that between the terrible cheapness of the fangs and they razor sharp edges, alongside the miserable tasting fake blood capsule, it was one of those "great idea, bad execution" things we all had. I'm sure a pukka set of fangs would be amazing, but the type a 7 year old can afford, not so much.
